If you’re expecting anything intelligent or mature out of this album, you can forget it. What makes you think Kell would tone down and have a whole new Luther Vandross make-over? It’s the Barely Legal that he’s after. Now in his early 40’s, he recently released his 4th Number 1 R&B Album, “Untitled”. After listening to the man who taught us about keeping it on the Down Low and being a Flirt, I’ve learnt to appreciate that his music is not meant to be understood but it works in a slutty way to make you feel good, especially for those who are naturally a Fridge by Nature. “Untitled” features a collection of mostly smooth slow jams that’ll melt you, with just a few Bouncy and Soulful House influenced R&B songs. A few of my favourites include “Echo”(it features Kell’s new yodeling approach),”Bangin’ The Headboard” (a song that’ll mess up your bed sheets, add wings to your pillows and give your lover’s head nasty bruises), and “Pregnant” sounds like a new year’s resolution. This album promises to create that magical ambience for pleasure and romance, and it features Keri Hilson, R. City, Tyrese, Robin Thicke and The Dream.
