Yeah yeah yeah. We know what you're thinking, not another vampire movie. Well, you're half right, but this one's slightly different. There's more political substance in it and no skimpy PVC outfits. Daybreakers is about finding the solution to the blood shortage issue. As the world is now no longer being dominated by humans, vampires rules everything. But vampires don't survive on bread and water alone - they need blood, human blood to be specific. As the shortage continues, the company that Ed Dalton (played by Ethan Hawke) works for needs to find a solution to solving the blood shortage issue. Hence, they try to create a somewhat synthetic blood duplicate.

Ed goes on to try and find a different solution to the whole vampire issue and he ends up meeting Elvis who used to be a vampire but now is back to being human. I won't tell you how that happened but I have to warn you guys, not much action going on here, it's more on the drama of it all - well the effects on a vampire being killed is kinda cool though.

Sam Neill plays the bad dude and he excelled at it. He's always been an actor I love watching. Wilem Defoe is Elvis and as much as I try to like his acting, I just can't. His acting in Spiderman was just aweful.

There's not much more I can say about the movie, just that maybe the Day Mode driving for the cars in this movie is brilliant. Digital window tinting on cars is the future!. A descent 3/5 but I wouldn't recommend them to make a sequel for this movie.
