Another one that I went to watch at Growball's big screen. I must admit though, I am a bit of a virgin when it comes to Solomon Kane the comic series. So I sat down, and not knowing the whole history of Solomon Kane, I'm sure it was going to be a treat.

And so it was...It started out with quite a bang, Solomon Kane is shown to be a very fierce, ruthful bad guy who knows no fear. He ends up meeting up with the devil - how the devil came about was really designed brilliantly, the CGI engine used were pretty convincing.

From then on, I kinda know how it all will pan out. The plot was good, but it was quite predictable at times. Questions like, who the masked bad guy is - my guess was pretty much on the spot. The whole setting was pretty dark and old, being it set in the 16th/17th century - it was perfect.

The characters played out well, James Purefoy who played Solomon, who is notably known for playing Mark Antony in the HBO series ROME, really fit the bill as Solomon. He had the looks, the physical body and attitude to play the ruthful turn good guy.

Overall - a perfect movie for the adventure/thriller/action enthusiasts. Sword and fist fighting, dark surroundings and ambience, this one will surely be worth wasting 87 minutes of your life and RM7. A 4/5 I willingly give it.
