Interesting idiots always happen to make a ginormous impression on society and its prevailing culture these days. Which is why in Kick-Ass, Dave Lizewski decides to turn his life around to become a nun-chucking vigilante super-hero—even though he has never went through training or combat—to fight crime off the streets and once and for all prove to himself (and to others) of his self-worthiness. As Lizewski puts it, "Comic books had it wrong. You don't need a power, to be a superhero". You don't need a power? Strange wisdom, Lizewski. And yet judging by your first few loser moments in this movie, you can't cut the mustard, mannn.

Nevertheless, as Lizweski is brutally stabbed by two mean looking punks from an attempt at crime fighting, Lizweski develops a new high-tolerance for pain due to his accident (the real jab is when he returns to school from where he finds out that most of the students think he was a victim in a brutal homosexual rape) which then gives him a go as the fearless superhero once again. His next fight gains him nationwide recognition as a bystander records Lizweski defending a man from a fight between three gangsters; the event is then uploaded to Youtube. Lizweski claims that he is "Kick-Ass", he is then made a household name in the media as thousands of people watch his fight on the news.
The comedy and plot tightens as Big Daddy (a former cop) and Hit Girl (his vigilant 11 year old daughter) starts killing and fighting some suckahs too. Only their stratagems are ideally more devious and intentional than Lizweski's.
Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn's script for this movie does not shy away from Hit Girl's use of the c--t word stick out. Now, this isn't the best character it could be—Hit Girl snides, "Okay you c---s... Let's see what you can do now"—for one, any anxious individual would regard the 11 year old character as vulgar, offensive, sloppy. Lax, overindulgent, casual. The fact, that she has been brainwashed by her gun-loving dad to butcher evil men adds insult to the double offense.

Hit Girl played by Chloe Moretz
Still, Kick-Ass is a fun movie, fresh sadistic farce. Seeing Christopher Mintz (as Red Mist) role play as the rich kid blood-and-thunder superhero like billy-o, was quite amusing. But the problem with Kick-Ass, is that it drags at the end of most sequences that are particularly not needed. I would love to shave off that 30 second sequences of where Hit Girl sarcastically tells Lizweski: " You just contact the mayor's office. He has a special signal he shines in the sky; it's in the shape of a giant c--k!"
The finest point in Kick-Ass is when Lizweski self-promotes himself on ......MySpace.
