Lt. Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes played by Don Cheadle (Seen Here Wearing An Iron Man Suit)
Mndblowing!!! That's pretty much how I can sum up what is to be expected for Iron Man 2. The most famous superhero in a metal suit is back and this time around, trouble looms him so much more than before. In this sequel, Robert Downey Jr. returns to play the man behind the powerful suit. Terence Howard is replaced by Don Cheadle as Tony Starks' close pal, Rhodey, Gywneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Mickey Rourke as the bad-ass Whiplash (or Ivan Vanko) and Scarlett Johansson is the beautiful assistant to Pepper Potts (oh btw doubling as a S.H.I.E.L.D agent).

Natalie Rushman / Natasha Romanoff played by Scarlett Johansson
As Paladium intoxicates Tony Stark's body, he finds himself needing someone to replace him to run Stark Industries. For obvious reasons, Pepper Potts gets the role of C.E.O at the company and Tony Stark goes on a quest to get himself wasted as he can't find any cure to his problem. With the U.S Government trying hard to get hold of the Iron Man suit (to be used as military purposes of course), and Stark Industries' main rival Hammer Industries' constant pressure to topple Stark's company, the Iron Man can't seem to ctach a break. It doesn't end there, as Howard Stark's old partner's son, Ivan Vanko comes in to the picture to avenge his father's misfortunes in the past in dealing with Tony's father's treatment towards Vanko's family in the past.
Often we'll see a comic based movie made meant for the action sequences and not the story plot, but Iron Man 2, similarly to its predecessor, really has a great story line. The complication of things and how everyone in the movie deals with the complexity of things really balances the CGI awesome-ness. It's well edited and Jon Favreu once again lives up to most fans' expectations. I always loved how Favreu incorporates his comic side into an action movie.

Whiplash played by Mickey Rourke
Now let's talk about the details of things. Suit-wise, gosh it's filled with precision. Scratch marks, dents, paint smudges, you got them all. The effects at times may be choppy but let's be realistic, no other action super hero movie with CGI are free of choppy-ness. For me, it was far from good enough, it was spectacular. I give it a 4.5/5 stars.
